V1RUS
A virus is an adaptive structure, intrusive, autonomous, using loopholes, that copies, spreads and destroys the supporting body. We meet this unique biological entity in our ecosystems, but also, by shift in meaning, computerized form. At a time when the genetic information requires a new relationship between biology and efficient technologies, it is necessary to accompany a critical analysis of the connection between biology and art as ideological vehicle.
What parallels and differences between biological and computer viruses ? What are the legitimation process at work in biological assimilation of technical artifacts ? How this approximation and use this metaphor in the language they contaminate our thinking and ?
Finally, viral dissemination strategies represent both the latest avatars of manufacturing companies of the real (through marketing, advertising, le branding) but also a new procedure for the strategies of activism and art forms subversive, the risk of precipitating recovery or neutralization.
